| DESCRIPTION: | Wood Punkinseed: White body with black spine, black spots on sides, silver scales on sides with a pattern of light yellow scales running down either side and orange eyes. This is a cataloged color for wood Punkinseeds (circa 1940) and later in plastic. Prey Fish: Same as Punkinseed but without the black spine and has a yellow raised eye .This color is one of the Natural colors produced by Heddon in the late 1970's and early 1980's; cataloged color for this lure. Midget River Runt Spook: Same as Punkinseed but with white eye; uncataloged for River Runt Spooks; probably circa 1960's or 1970's (Special thanks to Larry Nicholson for providing the picture of the River Runt Spook!) 'Brush' box for Standard Sinking River Runt Spook: This would be the same color pattern as the Punkinseed but would have gold eyes and 2 piece hardware. To date, no lure of this model has been found in this color and configuration; uncataloged, c. late 1930's or early 1940's. |
