BRS - Brown Crawdad

COLOR NAME: Brown Crawdad
COLOR CODES: BRS
LURE(S) PICTURED: River Runt Midget Spook (9010BRS), River Runt Spook Floater (9400BRS), 2 Sonics (385BRS)
DESCRIPTION: The original color had a yellow body with brown spine, brown face, and brown scale pattern, black irregular spots on sides, black bars across spine, bright solid orange belly and yellow eyes. This is a cataloged color for River Runt Spooks in 1977.

A much later version made just for the Japanese market in the late 1990's had a similar color pattern except that the brown scale pattern on the sides was very fine as compared to the earlier version. This and other River Runt Spooks made for the Japanese market c. 1990's are distinguishable by the belly marking which did not include the lure model, i.e., the word 'floater', 'sinker', etc. wasn't printed on the belly. Most read just "Heddon" or "Heddon River Runt Spook."
