SR-XCW Spook Ray, Chartruese & White

COLOR NAME: Spook Ray, Chartruese & White
COLOR CODES: SR-XCW
RELATED COLORS: Spook Ray, Red & White (SR-XRW), Spook Ray, Black & Yellow (SR-XBY)
LURE(S) PICTURED: River Runt Spook Go-Deeper Standard (D9110SR-XCW), Midget Digit River Runt Spook (9020SR-XCW), River Runt Spook Sinker (9110SRXCW)
DESCRIPTION: River Runt Spook: Solid white body with bright mint green spine and ribs and white eyes. The related colors of SR-SRW and SR-XBY were cataloged for Heddon River Runt Spooks in 1950 though this particular color was not. It was, however, listed in a 1948 hardware company catalog. The models it came in are listed as 9020, 9010, 9110, 9400, D9010 and D9110.

The 'Spook Ray' finish was reported to be a "new daylight fluorescent lacquer...that has the characteristic of glowing when exposed to the invisible ultraviolet rays which activate these colors..." according to Heddon's advertising.

Good examples of this color have very bright mint green ribs but most have faded ribs as the color tended to fade as seen in the example of the Go-Deeper model. It is a fairly scarce color for River Runts.
