SR-XRW - Spook Ray, Red & White

COLOR NAME: Spook Ray, Red & White
COLOR CODES: SR-XRW
RELATED COLORS: Spook Ray, Black & Yellow (SR-XBY), Spook Ray, Chartruese & White (SR-XCW), Black Head, Yellow Shore (BHY)
LURE(S) PICTURED: Midget Go-Deeper River Runt Spook (D9010SR-XRW)
DESCRIPTION: Solid white body with bright pink spine and ribs and white eyes. This color was cataloged for Heddon River Runt Spooks in 1950 though it was not pictured in that catalog. The models it came in are listed as 9020, 9010, 9110, 9400, D9010 and D9110. This color is unique to the River Runt Spook line of lures.

The 'Spook Ray' finish was reported to be a "new daylight fluorescent lacquer...that has the characteristic of glowing when exposed to the invisible ultraviolet rays which activate these colors..."

A 1948 hardware company catalog was found to list this color. This color is susceptible to fading so good examples have which have very bright pink color are fairly scarce. This color is commonly referred to as "Pink Shore" or "Pink Shore Minnow" though these names are not the correct Heddon name for this color.
