XBL - Blue Shore Minnow

COLOR NAME: Bluefish Shore Minnow, Blue Shore Minnow
COLOR CODES: 9XRX, XBL
LURE(S) PICTURED: Left - top to bottom: River Runt Spook Sinker (9119XRX), Midget River Runt Spook (9010XBL) , Magnum Torpedo (362XBL), Salmon River Runt (8859XRX), Tiger (X1020XBL), Sonics (385XBL)
Right: King Fish Vamp-Spook (KF9759XRX)
DESCRIPTION:

Blue spine and face, silver scale pattern on white sides and belly, silver ribs and gold eyes. Cataloged for River Runt Spooks in 1940. The color code for this changed to XBL in the 1960's and was called Blue Shore Minnow, an uncataloged color at that time for River Runt Spooks. The Torpedo also has a notable blue line running down the side.

The King Fish Vamp-Spook also had a stainless steel band around the body, a feature of that lure. This is a uncatalogued color for that lure.

The Tiger was made for the Japanese market and has the same coloration but lacks the silver rib pattern on the side; c. 2010.

2 other variations of this color are shown in the Sonics, neither of which has the rib pattern but instead has a silver lightning bolt. One has a solid white side with blue markings and blue scale pattern on the belly and the other transparent body.
