COLOR CODES:

9XRY, XRY

DESCRIPTION:

Yellow body with silver rib pattern on the sides, silver scales on the belly, and red around the eyes; some versions don't have any red around the eyes. Exists in both gold eye and white eye in the Spook line. Later versions are solid yellow including the belly as pictured on the Midget River Runt Spook. This color was originally catalogued as 9XRY and later changed to XRY in 1946.

Early Heddon wood lures in this color may have either a solid yellow body (including the belly) or a yellow body with white belly. The Heddon Salmon lures also have a large red gill mark on either side of the head.

In the 2000's, this color appears with an 'arrow' style rib pattern as illustrated by the Super Sonic. These were made for Japanese market under the Heddon brand name for Japanese tackle distributors.
