Guide to Lure Lore Web Site

In the time I've been collecting fishing tackle and publishing Lure Lore, I've learned a lot from numerous books, magazines, and of course, mostly from other collectors. This web site is dedicated to sharing that knowledge with other collectors, both those who are just beginning to collector and those who've been at it for some time! Your obligation as a reader is to contribute to this web site when you have something which you feel others should know! I will be more than happy to add your comments/suggestions and if at all possible, pictures!!!

A primary feature of Lure Lore is a history of Heddon's River Runt Spook. Though this site provides a lot of information on this lure, I've co-authored the book "The Heddon River Runt Identification & Collector's Guide" on all of Heddon's River Runt lures, both wood and plastic, including color charts, value listings, histories of every model and other information that is not presented on this web site. Color ID Chart:
Identify the color of any Heddon lure by using this web page which lists Heddon color codes and shows pictures of lures in color!
Unknown Heddon Colors: This page is dedicated to identifying the name of Heddon colors and their respective color codes. The real color name and color code for these lures is unknown!
Series Numbers: Primarily for use in determining what lure would go into a marked Heddon lure box. On the end of Heddon boxes is a series number consisting of numbers and/or letters. This series number indicates the what lure and the color of the lure that goes in the box.
